Wordpress Post SEO – The Basics

The basics about how to improve your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for your Wordpress Posts & Pages.

I use tools like Zemanta, All In One SEO Plugin for Wordpress or Headway WP Theme.

Key Points…

• Put keyword or keyword phrase in post title.
• Use keyword/s or keyword phrases in post body.
• Use All in One SEO to insert a description for the post. (160 characters max)
• Use All in One SEO to insert keywords or phrases under “keywords”.
  (no more than 10, comma separated)

• Use Zemanta to apply correct tags.
• If using the Headway Theme, SEO already built in. Do not need All in One SEO plugin.
